Face a Face
In 1995, on an original concept developed by Pascal Jaulent, President of the company, he and Nadine Roth, both in love with eyewear, architecture and contemporary design created the company Architectures and launched the Face a Face optical and sunglasses collections. Sophisticated contemporary designs manufactured at the foot of the French Alps combine intricate detailing and high-tech artistry with materials ranging from the lightweight titanium to dual textured laminates. Like an architect, Face a Face works with volumes, shapes, materials, colors and textures to give its glasses the power to express the personality of their wearer, whether that's bold, carefree, energetic, independent or seductive. This collection truly has a strong emphasis on design and sometimes showcases frames resembling the details for construction found on a building's blueprints. The sharp lines of the "techno" world and the soft, natural shapes of the "organic" world, successive collections of glasses and sunglasses have brought new directions in style. Minimalist designs, temples with asymmetrical volumes and multi-facets characterize the latest metals, natural tones with colors evoking glaciers or reflecting the camouflage theme. Translucent acetates, combined with metal or titanium, reveal the usually hidden details of construction. Each collection is preceded by a research and design stage, resulting in new styles enhanced by innovative concepts, incorporating new sensibilities. The product expresses contemporary design, individuality, and becomes a vector of personal expression and of personal luxury. Face a Face eyewear is designed to appeal to the modern, urban, man and woman who seek unique glasses that reflect their times, environment and personality.
